The XVIII National Conference on Foundations and History of Chemistry

The XVIII National Conference on Foundations and History of Chemistry will be held in Rome on October 8-10, 2019, hosted and co-organized by the Accademia Nazionale delle Scienze detta dei XL. In the occasion of the International Year of the Periodic Table of the Chemical Elements, further to more traditional themes of ancient and modern chemistry, the Conference program will include the Keynote Lecture of Russell G. Edgell (Oxford University) “Henry Moseley, X-Ray spectroscopy and the periodic Table”. In such context, a presentation of the volume centered on Henry Moseley entitled “For Science, king and Country” will be presented. The book covers the human and scientific journey of the great english physicists, who was granted the Matteucci Medal of the Accademia dei XL in 1919.
