The first NEMB Venice workshop on “Cancer Nanotechnology”

The workshop, to be held in Venice at the Istituto Veneto, is organized by Academy member Bernard Schrefler, together with Professors Paolo Decuzzi (TMHRI/UMG), Alberto Amadori (University of Padua) and Wing Kam Liu (Northwestern University). The workshop is sponsored by ASME, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in the framework of the NanoEngineering for Medicine and Biology (NEMB) initiative, and by the Academy of the XL. It will focus on the integration of Engineering, Physics, Chemistry and Nanotechnology with Biomedical Sciences with the aim of addressing fundamental problems in cancer treatment and imaging by an interdisciplinary approach. With the patronage of National Academy of Sciences
