‘The climate is changing. Food and agriculture are changing as well’ is the theme launched by FAO on the occasion of the World Food Day, on October 16th, 2016. The meeting, organized by the Academy and the Department of Biology, Agriculture and Food Sciences of the National Research Council (CNR) aims at contributing to the thoughts proposed at a world level. The Academy members Amedeo Alpi, Pierdomenico Perata, Rector of the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa, and Enrico Porceddu will take part in the meeting. On the CNR side, Francesco Loreto, director of the Department of Biology, Agriculture and Food Sciences, Marina Baldi (IBIMET), Mauro Centritto (IVALSA) will participate as well as Paolo Bàrberi of the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa.
The meeting ‘The agricultural and food system in the Mediterranean area faced with climate changes’ will take place on November 7th from 2.30 p.m. at the Academic Library, Scuderie Vecchie di Villa Torlonia (Via L. Spallanzani 1/A)
