Andrea Ballabio, fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, said of the XL, will held a conference about Genomic Medicine, on April 13th, 2021. Professor of Medical Genomics at the University of Naples “Federico II”, Andrea Ballabio is the founder and the scientific director of the Telethon Institute for Medicine and Genomics (Tigem). He studies mechanisms behind genetic diseases: in the last years his team identified genes responsible for many genetic diseases, and he took part of the Human Genome Project.
