Felice Fontana (1735-1805): the census of bibliographic, archival and museum sources

The “Novum Corpus Fontanianum” project will be presented in Rovereto on 3 February 2023 at the headquarters of the Caritro Foundation. The project is dedicated to the census of bibliographic, archival and museum sources relating to the member Felice Fontana (Pomarolo, 1735-Florence, 1805), a scholar of natural sciences, human and animal physiology, professor at the University of Pisa and organizer of the Royal Museum of physics and natural history of Florence, opened in 1775 by the will of the Grand Duke Pietro Leopoldo of Lorraine.

The project was carried out by the National Academy of Sciences called dei XL, in collaboration with the Human Sciences Department of the CNR, the Trentino Studies Society of Historical Sciences and the Accademia Roveretana degli Agiati, with the contribution of the Caritro Foundation.
