The opening ceremony of the 230th Academic year has taken place on May 10th, 2012 at the Library in Villa Torlonia, Rome. Carlo Doglioni, Professor of Structural Geology at Sapienza University of Rome;
Pierdomenico Perata, Professor of Plant Physiology at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa; Luciano Mayol Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University Federico II in Naples; Aniello Russo Spena, Professor of Hydraulic Engineering at L’Aquila University are the newly elected Academy members and were given the Academy diploma.
Academy member Pierdomenico Perata delivered the induction talk on ‘Oxygen perception in plants’.
