Academy Member Giuliano Panza was nominated  Honorary Professor of the Beijing University of Civil Engineerig and Architecture (BUCEA) and Member of the Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Future Urban Design Consultancy Committee. The prestigious recognition, motivated by Panza’s well known contribution to seismology and earthquake engineering, was conferred in Beijing on May 10, 2018 during the 12th General Assembly of the Asian Seismological Commission  and the 4th International Conference on Continental Earthquakes.
