"Vincenzo Caglioti" Prize

Once a year the National Academy of Sciences, together with the National Academy of Lincei, offers a grant entitled “Vincenzo Caglioti”. The grant, established by the Caglioti family on the occasion of the one hundredth anniversary of Academy member Vincenzo Caglioti, is awarded to an Italian or foreign scholar, maximum 35 years old, who has conducted research in the field of experimental sciences. The grant is awarded sequentially in various scientific disciplines: chemistry, physics, biological sciences and mathematics.

Degree Thesis Awards

To promote the preparation of degree thesis on the history of science, the National Academy of Sciences offers three awards annually for a degree thesis on the History of Biology, History of Chemistry and History of Physics.
